Καρριχτέρα η μονοετής
Etymology of Carrichtera annua: The name of the genus is a tribute to Bartholomäus Carrichter (1510-1567), Swiss physician to Holy Roman Emperors Ferdinand I and Maximillian II. The name of the species refers to the plant's life circle, as it is an annual plant.
This is the only Carrichtera kind that grows without human intervention in the Cypriot nature.
Carrichtera annua can be encountered at an altitude between 100-300 metres. Its flowering period is between January and March.
